Dale Eugene Koran

March 19, 1948 - September 13, 2021 of Houston, TX

Dale passed away from complications with cancer. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Elmer Koran and Dorothy Lundy Koran.

He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and went on to Youngstown State University where he completed a degree in music education. There he met his wife Martha Ann Bastress (deceased), also a music education major. They had two children, Michelle and Jaime, and moved to Houston Texas in 1981 where they became dedicated public school music educators, influencing countless young people through music.

He leaves behind mother Dorothy Koran, sister Charlotte Abblett, brother John Koran, daughter Michelle Rush, son Jaime Koran, and five grandchildren - Sebastian, Nicholas, Makayla, Lily, and Fiona.

A celebration of life service will be held in October.
